Our Areas of Expertise
DOT Drug Test
These tests typically include a urine sample, which is analyzed for the presence of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, and opioids. The results of the test are kept confidential and are only shared with authorized personnel, such as the employee's employer or a DOT-approved medical review officer.
DOT Alcohol Test
These tests typically include a breath alcohol test, which measures the amount of alcohol in an individual's breath. The legal limit for alcohol consumption for DOT regulated employees is 0.04% blood alcohol content (BAC) or less. If an employee tests positive for alcohol or refuses to take the test, they will be subject to disciplinary action and may face suspension or termination of employment.
DOT Physical Exam
The exam is conducted by a DOT-approved medical examiner and includes a review of the individual's medical history, a physical examination, and a vision and hearing test. The examiner will also assess the individual's ability to perform the specific tasks required for their job, such as operating a vehicle or heavy machinery.
